• U.S. Apparel Resale to Double in Next Five Years, Fueled by Retailers and Brands – The U.S. secondhand market is projected to double in the next five years, reaching $82 billion by 2026, according to ThredUP’s 10th annual Resale Report, conducted in partnership with GlobalData. And while North America remains the leader, resale is now clearly a global phenomenon: the worldwide secondhand apparel market is expected to grow 127% and hit $218 billion by 2026. The article goes on to discuss major brands starting resale programs as well as highlighting customers’ increasing desire for more purposeful shopping habits as well as retailers with resale programs vastly increasing in the last couple of years.
